I founded a hospice 10 years ago. It was the single best thing I have ever done in my life. Over this time, I met extraordinary people with unbelievable spirits and passions. I feel immensely grateful for the connections that I made and experiences I shared. They have shown me that our time and opportunities are finite.
I no longer run a hospice, but the gifts that I received from those experiences carry on with me and shape my perspectives. I’m a newly formed wanderer having been given the gift of time. Sometimes life throws you a curveball. I truly believe that we cannot control what happens to us, however we can control how we respond to it. I’m going to travel to far away places with only my bike in an effort to live simply and chase new experiences and connections.
Live your life. Take chances. Be crazy. Be vulnerable. Don’t wait. Your time is now. Today is the oldest you’ve ever been and the youngest you’ll ever be again.
